OceanSET – supporting the SET PLan OE-IWG

OceanSET – Secretariat to the SET Plan Implementation Working Group for Ocean Energy

OceanSET provides support to the European Strategic Energy Technology Plan (SET Plan) Implementation Working Group for Ocean Energy (OE-IWG). It helps implement the working group’s Implementation Plan and promotes knowledge sharing among EU countries, regions and other stakeholders in the ocean energy sector.

OceanSET is the branding of the OE-IWG. The activities of the OE-IWG are supported currently by the Horizon Europe project ‘SEETIP Ocean’, having been supported previously by the Horizon 2020 project ‘OceanSET’. SEETIP Ocean supports both the OE-IWG and the European Technology and Innovation Platform for Ocean Energy.

Main goals of the OE-IWG

  • Facilitate the implementation of the technology development actions of the working group’s Implementation Plan.
  • Provide support to the Implementation Working Group and its Chair
  • Promote knowledge sharing across the European Commission, Member States, regions and other stakeholders in the ocean energy sector.
